703,41 km - Zum ersten Mal über den Burgberg

Heute gings das erste Mal über den Burgberg.

Der Burgberg in Salzgitter-Lichtenberg hat eine Höhe von 217 Metern ü.N.N. (Straße) und beherbergt auf 241 Metern ü.N.N. die Burg Lichtenberg und ihren Bergfried. Ich hatte immer ein bisschen Muffe, hier hoch zu fahren. Mir war klar, dass ich ganz schön außer Atem geraten werde. Es geht hier auf ca. 2km von etwa 100 hoch auf 217 Meter, teilweise mit Steigungen um 16-18%. Erstaunlicherweise hatte ich hier weniger Probleme, als ich gedacht hätte.

Kurz vor dem Anstieg wartete ich in einem Bushäuschen noch einen Platzregen ab. Als dieser aufhörte nahm ich den Burgberg in Angriff. Pünktlich kurz vor erreichen der Bergkuppe öffnete der Himmel wieder seine Schleusen. Innerhalb von 2 Minuten war ich bis auf die Knochen nass. Die Abfahrt trocknete mich aber sehr schnell und es war warm, alles in Allem also kein Problem. Nachher kam sogar noch die Sonne raus, und ich beendete meine Runde um den Lesser und den Söhlder Wald in strahlendem Sonnenschein.
